Monster Engines

The Chevy Silverado 3500HD lineup includes two monster engines, both 6.6-liter V8 engines. There’s the 401-horsepower gas V8 and the 445-horsepower Duramax turbo-diesel V8. they produce max torque of 901 lb.-ft. and 464 lb.-ft., respectively. Mated with commercial-quality Allison automatic transmission, the Duramax boasts a 36,000-pound max trailering capacity. The gas V8 makes towing 17,000 pounds a cinch.
